Formulated in 2012, Shine has some of the most talented and experienced musicians in the business. We love what we do, and that energy connects with our guests making an unforgettable musical experience.

 

Our goal is to provide the best live music and entertainment for each wedding or special event and keep the dance floor packed! 

 

Our performances feature a wide range of popular songs from all eras so that all the guests can dance to songs they love. From Frank Sinatra and Al Green, to Bruno Mars and Beyoncé, we reproduce your favorite songs authentically.

 

Our band members are Shawn Powell and Kholaa Lewin on vocals, Jonathan Stevens on the drums, John Viviani plays guitar, Tony Gallicchio on the keyboard, and Sheldon Tripi plays bass.

Although Shine's origin is Rochester, NY we travel often and have played weddings and events throughout Upstate NY, NYC area, Central NY, the Hudson Valley, and all over the Tri-State area. Our musicians have performed with The Whispers, The Isley Bro, Mary J. Blige , Erykah Badu, Musiq, Clarence Clemons, Frankie Beverly & Maze, The Winans & Fred Hammond, Gap Mangione, Doc Severinson, Gloria Gaynor, The Newsboys, The Mambo Kings, and many others.

 

We are a band made up of friends who have played together for years.

While planning your event, you will work with Jonathan Stevens, our drummer and band manager. Jonathan enjoys working closely with clients to create a smooth planning and facilitation of each event.
